The Fest-Symposium "Magnetic excitations in Semiconductors - Bridges to the Next Decade" will take place March 6 - March 8, 2008 in Buffalo, NY, USA. This event will bring together many of the world leaders and active young investigators in its subject field. It is being held in conjunction with the 70th birthday of Professor Bruce D. McCombe, whose eminent contributions in research and education have helped to shape this field. The program of the symposium is designed both to review key advances in our understanding of magnetic excitations in semiconductors, and to provide connections to new long-term directions for future research. On the evening of March 6, a kick-off public lecture "Putting Spin into Electronics" will highlight exciting areas of emerging technology.
